With more than 27 years experience managing a large,
complex flood control system, Ron Shindoll offers a wealth of knowledge and solutions for governmental agencies and consulting
firms dealing with flood control issues. His insightful development of projects that are lifesaving, cost-efficient,
and design-sensible — are some of the reasons why Ron has earned a reputation for being an expert in this field.
Prior to starting his consulting firm, Ron was the Division
Manager for the City of Dallas, Flood Control Division — responsible for the management and operation of this critical system comprised
of levees, pump stations, and flood warning systems. His passion for serving the public through flood control, lead him to develop
expertise in:
His leadership resulted in the development and construction
of (1) an effective pump station debris removal system, (2) a SCADA control system, (3) backup power systems for the pump stations, and
(4) a Flooded Roadway Warning System. While these accomplishments significantly enhanced the flood protection of Dallas citizens and
their property, they also provided major technological enhancements which increased the efficiency and effectiveness of the flood control
staff. Through his consistent commitment to flood control, Dallas always received excellent reviews on annual and periodic inspections
performed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
